When writer Sondra Briggs was nine years old, she enticed her brother to help her do the dishes by telling him stories. Her mother encouraged her to write some of them down, she has been writing ever since.
School newspaper and yearbook editorships followed. Sondra has been published in Arizona and California newspapers. She edited award-winning newsletters for Soroptimists of Oxnard and Ventura County Professional Women’s Network. After moving to Port Hueneme, the setting for Port Hueneme Beach Walks she wrote regular columns and feature articles in the Ventura County Star and Coast Reporter.
