Today is my dad’s birthday. He is no longer around to enjoy it. He passed away in 2006 at 100 years old. He often talked about the world’s amazing changes that happened in his lifetime.
His first job at age thirteen was on an ice truck, delivering large blocks of ice to home iceboxes. No one had refrigerators. Several years later, he worked on “midnight deliveries” when he had employment unloading trucks of bootleg booze. Now alcoholic beverages are legal again.
His first automobile was a Model T Ford. Black, of course, because Henry Ford wouldn’t produce another color.
What would Daddy think if he saw the changes between 2006 and 2018?
